(Note: Blog hop starts 2/8 6pm PST.) Hope you are blog hoping along and have arrived here from Jen's blog... If you missed the start completely, head on over to Amy's blog as she is also the hostess-with-the-mostess for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge! This week's theme is the 'Supply Challenge', and Amy has chosen paper piecing! Now, I must admit I'm not one for using this technique very often, but figured, why not go all out? So, I pieced our new 'bear' from the new 'A Beary Good Year' set and gave him an all over pattern look for this holiday card (am I really that behind w/ the holidays or just really early for next year? I'll go with the latter.)
Paper piecing can be a great way to get that fun pattern on a certain part of your image that you otherwise couldn't do with just straight coloring. I'll need to try my hand at it more often... Why not play along and show us what paper piecing skillz you've got! I'd love to see how others use this technique with other TCP images. Just follow the directions on Amy's blog and post your creation on Alma's web album who also just happens to be the next and final stop on this hop!
Also... the winner of the 'Name that Bear' contest will be posted on Alma's blog tomorrow Feb 9th, and that lucky person will win all the new stamps sets for the next year. woohoo! The "A Beary Good Year" set will be available tomorrow so be sure to check it out! It's a must have with so many fun possibilities!
so cute!
